The Global Partnership for Health: U.S.-India Collaboration in Pharmaceutical Manufacturing and Research & Development
The Global Partnership for Health will aim to provide an update and overview on some of the recent collaborations between U.S. and Indian industry partners. India continues to have a globally-leading generics sector and one of the top exporters to patients around the world. U.S. companies continue to look to India as a reliable destination for manufacturing and are hopeful that with certain enabling conditions, India can become a top 25 destination for research and development investment in the sector by 2025.
The roundtable was attended by Healthcare & Pharmaceutical members of USIBC, Patent & Legal experts & Diplomats from the Indian Embassy (Washington). The Indian delegation was welcomed by Dr Mukesh Aghi (President USIBC) and opening remarks were given by Jason Grove (Senior Direct Abbott) on US-India Collaboration and Leadership in Pharmaceuticals.
Lecture on “Indian Pharmaceutical Industry Growth Trends†was conducted by Dr Gurpreet Sandhu, Managing Director, Reva Pharma & Honorary Advisor Pharmexcil (India). The Make in India and Policy Making was addressed by S Pandey (Joint Secretary, Ministry of Trade & Commerce (GOI).
